Most recently, Pulin Patel co-founded OpenClove; providing cloud based communications for mobile applications.
Pulin co-founded Mavenir Systems (IPO NYSE: MVNR); a leader in 4G wireless voice and messaging solutions, and led the company strategy as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Mr. Patel also serves as a General Partner of Aether Partners, a Venture Capital and Private Equity firm he co-founded, and invested in companies like Spatial Wireless (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent) and Taral Networks. Pulin has raised over $50M for several starts with successful exits.
His entrepreneurship venture started in March 1999, as the President and co-founder of IPmobile (acquired by Cisco Systems, Inc. in 2001), a technology leader in the area of wireless data. Pulin has in-depth technical and management experience in the field of wireless telecom, playing various leadership roles with the Wireless Solutions group at Nortel Networks and was one of the pioneering members of the CDMA wireless group at LCC, a wireless consulting firm. Pulin’s research career at WINLAB (Wireless Information Laboratory) included work in area of enhanced multimedia CDMA systems, and RF engineering. He holds several patents in Wireless Internet. Pulin holds a BS and MS in electrical engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and Rutgers University, and an MBA from University of Texas.
