Robert Heath is a Cullen Trust Endowed Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. His research expertise is at the intersection of wireless communication, signal processing, applied math, and communication theory. He has an active research program in all aspects of MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) communication including multiuser MIMO, massive MIMO, MIMO cellular networks, and MIMO ad hoc networks. At present he is focusing on millimeter wave communication, with applications to cellular, ad hoc, wearable, vehicular, and local area networks.
