Prior to joining PHAZR, Khalil was a senior staff engineer in Samsung Research America from 2006 to 2016, where he joined the advanced research and development team for wireless transceiver design. He developed the FPGA DSP algorithms for LTE /WIMAX/ WiFi/WiGig for the single antenna and massive MIMO transmitter and receiver prototypes. Prior to Samsung, he worked in several companies: US-Robotics/3COM where he was part of the analog modem development team, Lucent technologies where he was part of the DSL modem development team, Raven Industries where he was involved in the development of high-end GPS receivers, and Input/Output where he was part of the seismic sensor signal analysis team.
Khalil received his PhD in electrical engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1998. He has published several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and has received several accomplishment awards for his work. He currently holds five issued U.S. patents and has multiple patents pending.
