Prior to joining PHAZR, Eran was a director in Samsung Research America from 2004 to 2016 where he held several leading roles in the research and design of top baseband cores implemented in Samsung’s market-first LTE modem chip, and the development of the next generation mmWave 5G cellular and WiFi/WiGig prototypes. Prior to Samsung, he was a project leader in Motorola Semiconductor (now NXP/Freescale) from 1993 to 2004 where he held several leading positions in the development of Motorola’s 56K and StarCore DSP chips. Eran’s main interest is the research and design of power-efficient solutions for next generation multi-Gbps digital signal processors and baseband algorithms for wireless communication.
Eran received his BSc. in electrical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in 1993, his MSc. in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv University in 2000, and his PhD in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University in 2015.
He published several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers and received several awards for his work. He currently holds over 50 issued patents in USPTO.
