Andreas is an experienced embedded systems engineer that prior to joining Phazr worked in a Linux software engineering role at Texas Instruments. His responsibilities included security where he led the successful development, integration, and open-source contribution for a secure boot solution supporting authentication and encryption on TI’s ARM Cortex-A class application processors.
He has held multiple senior application engineering positions at Texas Instruments that directly contributed to the rapid growth of the company’s mixed-signal microcontroller segment. Andreas enjoys working with customers and supported major business engagements both in the U.S. and while being on multi-year assignments at TI Japan and TI France. This background provided a good technical and leadership skill set that he later applied to managing an application engineering team focused on the development of next-generation microcontrollers and their associated customer-facing eco-system.
Aside from working at TI, he also offers software engineering consulting services. Past projects include iOS and Android application development as well as embedded development work for Dallas-Ft. Worth based businesses in the automotive industry.
Andreas was born and raised in Germany where he was first exposed to electronics and computers during his childhood days, building circuits and writing assembly code for 6802 and x86 processors. He later earned his German Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at Leipzig University of Applied Sciences. Andreas funded most of his expenses while attending school via a side business developing specialized embedded software and hardware solutions for the healthcare industry.
In his free time, Andreas enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and two children, traveling and riding his motorcycle.
